Faith in Action Programs
Salvation Army House Opportunity
We will partner with Jo Wicks in her ministry to young women being served by the Salvation Army on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas. Jo has a significant ministry to these young women coming out of the Dallas County Jail. We're asking you to accompany Jo in providing personal items and small gifts as she goes to the Salvation Army center. The church will fund the purchase of items for the women--and then our connection groups and other groups will deliver the items and the love of Christ as they visit the center. Ladies, if you want to experience a sweet blessing, take time out of your Saturday to serve the women at the Salvation Army House. Our purpose it to bring the hope that only Jesus can give to these women who are transitioning from prison to society. Spots go fast – RSVP to Tony at treeder@reeders.com.
Other Ministry Opportunities
Do you want to put action to your faith? Do you want to help others, but don’t know how to get started? These Faith in Action projects are currently available for individuals and Connection groups.
- Adopt-an-elderly person as ongoing ministry. CCA recommends small
groups adopt a person. Tasks that elderly may need help with
include: transportation (store, doc office, CCA); conversation;
occasional help around the house (changing batteries, light bulbs,
